  1. I'm So (Not) Over You by Kosoko Jackson: It's a romantic comedy released on 15th February 2022. It revolves around the topic of a second chance given to a couple to revive their once-broken relationship. The main protagonist of the story, Kian Andrews, is an aspiring journalist who suddenly gets a text from his ex-boyfriend, Hudson Rivers, for a meet-up request after months of no contact. When Kian speculates the reasons as to why his ex suddenly wants to meet him again, he definitely doesn't anticipate that Hudson would have a peculiar favor to ask of him. He asks Kian to pretend to be his boyfriend for a while in front of his parents. That's how Kian finds himself as Hudson's plus one to Georgia's wedding of the season. This agreement seems beneficial to both as Hudson gets to uphold his family's reputation and Kian gets to mingle with high-society people which can finally give him his big break in his career. But the situation gets complicated when real feelings resurface in this seemingly fake relationship.

Book lovers by Emily Henry: Slated to release on May 3rd, this introspective and delightful romance novel comes from the #1 New York Times bestselling author of Beach Read and People We Meet on Vacation. The protagonist of the story is Nora Stephens who is an ardent book lover but she doesn't really associate or relate to the typical heroines of the books. She is a practical-minded literary agent. Her fondness for her sister makes her agree to go on a trip with her to the Sunshine Falls for the month of August. There she meets Charlie Lastra, a nerdy book editor from the city. Their meetings happen far too often for them to be coincidences and all their interactions seem peculiar yet intriguing.   1. The Children on the Hill by Jennifer McMahon: Slated to be released on April 26th, this book is the latest work of the author who wrote The Drowning Kind, a New York Times bestselling book. This book is inspired by Mary Shelley's famous work Frankenstein and revolves around mysteries of childhood and the horrors of creepy monsters lurking around the corner. 

The story is divided into two timelines, 1978 and 2019. In 1978, a renowned psychiatrist, Dr. Helen Hildreth used to live in Vermont with her two grandchildren, Vi and Eric. One day Helen brought home a girl named Iris, who seemed really eccentric and feral. But vi and Eric felt excited to find a new playmate. They made her join their Monster club where they conjured up strategies to beat the monsters. Vi always told Iris that apparently monsters were everywhere. And then fast forward to the year 2019, when the host of a popular podcast show Monsters Among Us, Lizzy Shelley finds herself going to Vermont. She gets news of sightings of monsters in the town and about the abduction of a young girl. So Lizzy takes it upon herself to hunt down the monster haunting Vermont as she knows monsters are very real, and one of them is her own sister. This story is eerily haunting and suspenseful through and through. 

 

 

  1. Pinata by Leopoldo Gout: Slated to release on November 1st, Pinata is a tale of a terrifying possession and supernatural presence. The author of the books Ghost Radio and Genius YA trilogy brings to us the haunting story of a mother and her two daughters. Carmen Sanchez has returned to her home country of Mexico with her daughters, Izel and Luna. She gets busy supervising some renovation work and her daughters are left to their own devices in a foreign place. People of the city treat them poorly and Luna suffers some injuries after an unfortunate accident in the construction site. Carmen ultimately loses her patience and promptly leaves the city with her daughters. But back in New York, things start to turn for the worse when Luna starts acting in a really strange manner. At first, it's only Izel who starts noticing how eerily spooky her sister is acting. But she doesn't realize what kind of evil has been awakened in her sister's body until it's too late. Pinata is a bone-chilling story that seems to send us a message that you can't ever escape the consequences of your past actions.

 

 

  1. The Maid by Nita Prose: This book was released on January 4th and became the #1 New York Times bestseller pretty quickly. It was undoubtedly one of the most anticipated books of this year. The protagonist of this intriguing mystery story is a quirky lady, Molly Gray. She is a person with poor social skills and thus depended on her gran a lot to interpret everything in simple terms for her. So naturally, Molly becomes a little helpless when her gran dies. She finds a suitable job for herself as a hotel maid as she is really fond of cleaning and clings to this job as a lifeline. But Molly's life is thrown into utter chaos when one day she enters the suite of a wealthy guest of the hotel, Charles Black, and finds him dead. Investigation starts and Molly's unusual personality raises suspicion turning her into the lead suspect. This is the story about her journey to prove her innocence with help from some unexpected friends.

 

 

  1. The Paradox Hotel by Rob Hart: This sci-fi mystery novel is slated to release on February 22nd and is the latest work of the author of The Warehouse. This interesting story revolves around January Cole who runs security at the Paradox Hotel, where wealthy people come to stay and wait for their 'flights' to the past. Her job becomes a lot harder when strange things start happening in the hotel. A blizzard forces them all to stay stuck there and Cole discovers a corpse in room 526. That makes her believe that there's a murderer among them moving freely but proving it is difficult as surprisingly, only Cole can see that corpse. She quickly finds herself in a tangle of past, present, and future which forces her to unravel the hotel's dark secrets and her own.
