Artisans in Fez follow centuries-old traditions: clay is dried, shaped, and fired at 2000°C, then hand-painted with natural pigments. The intricate Zellige motifs are applied by the Nekkach, masters of Moroccan geometric design, before the final firing creates a glossy, durable finish.
