With these traditional Moroccan serving utensils known as tagines, you may give your visitors the opportunity to enjoy the real, authentic flavor of Morocco. This porcelain was shaped by hand out of ceramic clay, and then it was decorated by skilled craftspeople. Each plate is painted by hand in a unique way, using a paintbrush and a variety of patterns with different levels of detail. This pottery is distinct not only because of the use of eye-catching color combinations and creative designs but also due to the products' longevity and adaptability in the kitchen, both of which are important and lucrative points.
Clay, a material unique to Fes, is mined only there, at a location known as Ben.
In Fes, clay is dried for 20 days, broken, cleaned, and soaked for two days. Artisans shape it into vases, jars, and plates by hand, bake at 2000°C for 8 hours, paint with natural colors, coat for shine, and bake again. The products are durable for daily use. Zellige tiles are baked, painted, and designed with intricate patterns by the Nekkach. Assembled with "la resin," these tiles showcase Fes’s craftsmanship inspired by ancient designs.
