Jason Hamilton

Jason Montgomery Hamilton is an up-and-coming metal sculptor whose work is deeply rooted in his Native American heritage. As a proud member of the Cupa tribe and the Tekamuk community, Jason is dedicated to preserving and celebrating his rich cultural background. His passion and respect for his heritage are evident in his art, which is inspired by the traditions and teachings passed down through generations.

Before embarking on his artistic journey, Jason trained as an underwater welder at the College of Oceaneering in Wilmington, California. Upon graduating at the young age of 20, he set off for Louisiana with a duffle bag in hand, eager to explore the Gulf of Mexico oilfields. However, at just 24 years old, a work-related injury led him to reevaluate his path. Turning his focus to metal sculpture, Jason found a new way to channel his skills and passion.

Jason's deep love and connection with nature are evident in his stunning metal sculptures, which are primarily crafted using copper and brass. Drawing inspiration from the natural world, Jason's art captures the beauty and essence of the landscapes and wildlife that surround him. Each piece is a testament to his unwavering dedication to his craft and the powerful influence of his Native American roots. Through his art, Jason Montgomery Hamilton invites viewers to share in his journey of self-discovery and appreciation for the world around him.
