This stunning and refined outdoor water fountain will do wonders for the aesthetic appeal of your garden or patio. This water fountain is the product of the hard work of expert Moroccan artisans. Because of its distinct appearance, unusual construction, and brightly colored exterior, this fountain is a symbol of the cultural variety of Moroccan handicrafts. Moroccan artisans painstakingly construct these fountains using zellige tiles painted in perfectly complementary hues. A massive iron frame, resembling the fountain's design, encloses the delicate tile patterns.
Clay, a material unique to Fes, is mined only there, at a location known as Ben.
In Fes, clay is dried for 20 days, broken, cleaned, and soaked for two days. Artisans shape it into vases, jars, and plates by hand, bake at 2000°C for 8 hours, paint with natural colors, coat for shine, and bake again. The products are durable for daily use. Zellige tiles are baked, painted, and designed with intricate patterns by the Nekkach. Assembled with "la resin," these tiles showcase Fes’s craftsmanship inspired by ancient designs.
