Experience the tranquil experience of sitting beside a flowing river at your home with this elaborately designed huge wall water fountain. The wonderful Moroccan Zellige Tile Fountains are created by hand in small workshops. The zellige tile art of Morocco is famed for its extraordinarily complex designs made of hundreds of hand-cut tile pieces that are meticulously arranged together. Each feature is distinctive and one of a kind, with designs drawn from Moroccan culture! When activated, the electric water pumping system found in each fountain causes the water to flow, giving the appearance that you are standing next to a flowing river. The experience is so calming that it can be even helpful for your regular meditating sessions.
Clay, a material unique to Fes, is mined only there, at a location known as Ben.
In Fes, clay is dried for 20 days, broken, cleaned, and soaked for two days. Artisans shape it into vases, jars, and plates by hand, bake at 2000°C for 8 hours, paint with natural colors, coat for shine, and bake again. The products are durable for daily use. Zellige tiles are baked, painted, and designed with intricate patterns by the Nekkach. Assembled with "la resin," these tiles showcase Fes’s craftsmanship inspired by ancient designs.
