These ceramic Tagines. The talented craftspeople in Morocco are raring to take on the challenge of making your meal the best it can be. Each unique piece of our pottery undergoes a meticulously time-consuming process of shaping, firing, and decoration. Your one-of-a-kind dining needs call for one-of-a-kind dinnerware.
Artists shaped and decorated this traditional Moroccan dinnerware by hand from ceramic clay. Using a paintbrush and an assortment of designs, each plate is painted by hand. Unique selling qualities for this pottery include not only its eye-catching color combinations and detailed designs, but also its durability and adaptability in the kitchen. Due to their high resistance to heat, ceramics can be utilized in both conventional and microwave ovens. This can be washed in the dishwasher without worry. Our ceramics are resistant to abrasion and cleaning.
Clay, a material unique to Fes, is mined only there, at a location known as Ben.
In Fes, clay is dried for 20 days, broken, cleaned, and soaked for two days. Artisans shape it into vases, jars, and plates by hand, bake at 2000°C for 8 hours, paint with natural colors, coat for shine, and bake again. The products are durable for daily use. Zellige tiles are baked, painted, and designed with intricate patterns by the Nekkach. Assembled with "la resin," these tiles showcase Fes’s craftsmanship inspired by ancient designs.
