You can considerably boost the beauty of your garden, patio, or living room by adding this breathtaking and sophisticated round mosaic table designed in the style of the mid-century. The laborious handiwork of very accomplished Moroccan artisans resulted in the creation of this table constructed of zellige tiles. It serves as a representation of the cultural diversity that is found in Moroccan handicrafts because of its unusual design, the material that it is made of, and the brilliant red & yellow colors that are applied at the surface of the table.
Clay, a material unique to Fes, is mined only there, at a location known as Ben.
In Fes, clay is dried for 20 days, broken, cleaned, and soaked for two days. Artisans shape it into vases, jars, and plates by hand, bake at 2000°C for 8 hours, paint with natural colors, coat for shine, and bake again. The products are durable for daily use. Zellige tiles are baked, painted, and designed with intricate patterns by the Nekkach. Assembled with "la resin," these tiles showcase Fes’s craftsmanship inspired by ancient designs.
