It is a magnificent and elaborately designed work of art by the hard-working and skilled artisans of Morocco. Completely handcrafted, this customizable rectangular mosaic table is made of high-quality zellige tiles that give it a long-lasting finish. And the vibrant colors and detailed patterns carved upon it elevate its beauty even more. This mid-century style table is perfect to place on the patio and host your guests graciously.
Clay, a material unique to Fes, is mined only there, at a location known as Ben.
In Fes, clay is dried for 20 days, broken, cleaned, and soaked for two days. Artisans shape it into vases, jars, and plates by hand, bake at 2000°C for 8 hours, paint with natural colors, coat for shine, and bake again. The products are durable for daily use. Zellige tiles are baked, painted, and designed with intricate patterns by the Nekkach. Assembled with "la resin," these tiles showcase Fes’s craftsmanship inspired by ancient designs.
