With the addition of this stunning and elegant mid-century style oval mosaic table, you may significantly increase the beauty of your garden, patio, or living room. This table made of zellige tiles is the result of the painstaking handiwork of highly talented Moroccan artisans. Because of its distinctive design, material, and vibrant colors employed at the surface of the table, it serves as a representation of the cultural diversity of Moroccan handicrafts.
Clay, a material unique to Fes, is mined only there, at a location known as Ben.
In Fes, clay is dried for 20 days, broken, cleaned, and soaked for two days. Artisans shape it into vases, jars, and plates by hand, bake at 2000°C for 8 hours, paint with natural colors, coat for shine, and bake again. The products are durable for daily use. Zellige tiles are baked, painted, and designed with intricate patterns by the Nekkach. Assembled with "la resin," these tiles showcase Fes’s craftsmanship inspired by ancient designs.
