A ceramic bathroom vessel designed in a contemporary circular shape. A gorgeous hand-pressed shape that has been painstakingly hand-painted with an elaborate Moroccan motif to complete the piece. And the cherry on the top? It boasts a vivid and gorgeous burgundy color that's extremely attractive.

This washbasin is a fantastic option for either a traditional or a modern setting thanks to its vivid color palette and imaginative design. The washstands that we make use of are typically repurposed from other pieces of furniture, such as side cabinets or antique sewing machine tables. Occasionally, however, we build our own washstands from scratch. It pairs exceptionally well with marble, stone, tile, and even wood, and looks stunning when paired with poured concrete. Include this sophisticated and artful sink in the design of the one-of-a-kind bathroom you're going to create for yourself, and put your artistic abilities to the test in the process.

Clay, a material unique to Fes, is mined only there, at a location known as Ben Jellik. The first step is transporting the clay here, where it will sit for 20 days to dry. Afterward, we use a heavy hammer to smash it into smaller pieces, and after another day of drying, we soak it in water for two days. Next, there are those who sort through the clay, removing any rocks or other debris before passing it on. Because of its proximity to the sun, Fes is the only place on Earth where you can experience this kind of action.

Other workers then shape the clay dough into flower vases, jars, plates, and so on, a skill passed down through generations.

Then we bake the handmade items at 2000 degrees for 8 hours. Next, we'll be painting the goods to match the colors of the walls, tables, and fortune cookies.

We use dyes made from plants and minerals to give our goods a more authentic look. Horse hair is used to make paintbrushes. They employ many hues, including blue, red, black, etc.

After they are finished, the products are coated with a material that makes them shiny before being baked again for 8 hours on burned wood. The paint holds up to both hot and cold water, and you can use them indefinitely.

Next, Nekkach is given Zellige after it has been painted and baked a second time; the type of pattern used on Zellige is determined by its final location. He lays them out backward in a geometric design inspired by historic sites like Karaouiyn and royal palaces.

When they are dry, we apply a material called "la resina" or "cola sima" and hang them up to dry. The Zellige pattern is revealed after they are flipped to their front sides. Clay artisans in Fes, Morocco, created that.

" Clay" this material that is found only in Fes City. In a specific place called " Ben Jellik". To get started to bring the clay to this place, and we leave it for 20 days in order for it to dry. When it is dry we use a large hummer to break it into small pieces then we leave it to dry again for whole day before we put it in water for two days. Then there are people who work on cleaning the clay from unwanted rocks and any other material to give to another person. This type of activity is only found in Fes city because it has a close relation go the sun.

Other workers are in charge for shaping the clay dough into flower vases, jars, plates .... all of these products are handmade. It is an inherited craft work.

After we place the handmade products into the oven for 8 hours with 2000°C. The next step is painting the products with colours of the fortunes, dinning tables and the walls.

We paint the products with natural based colours that are taken from natural resources. The paint brushes used are made from horses hair. They use different colours such as blue, red, black...

When they finish they coat them with a material that makes the products shiny so they can put it back into the oven fir 8 hours to bake on burned woods then the products can be used for our daily use. You can use cold or hot water in them, the paint is long lasting.

Moving to Zellige, when it bakes for the first time, and the second time with the paint it is given to Nekkach that decides what kind of pattern will be used on it depends on where Zellige will be put. He spreads them flipped in a geometrical pattern based on ancient references such as Karaouiyn, and the king's palaces...

Then we use a material called " La resin " or " cola sima" and we let them dry. After that we flip them to the front to see the design of the Zellige. That is the workmanship of Clay in the City of Fes.
