Artisans in Fes follow a detailed and time-honored technique:
✅ Clay is dried for 20 days, broken, cleaned, and soaked.
✅ It is shaped by hand into tiles and fired at 2000°C for 8 hours.
✅ Tiles are hand-painted with natural colors and fired again for durability.
✅ The Nekkach cuts and assembles tiles into intricate mosaic patterns.
✅ Finally, the table is constructed with sturdy layering and a polished finish.
✅ Each table is a unique artwork—no two pieces are exactly the same.
✅ Wipe regularly with a soft damp cloth.
✅ Avoid harsh chemicals to preserve the natural pigments.
✅ For outdoor placement, cover during heavy rain for longevity.
✅ Do not place extremely hot objects directly on the tiles.
✅ Made to order: approx. 15 days crafting time.
